International Kimwipe Table Tennis Association (KTTA) has been gathering scientists whose expertise ranges from medicine to mathematical science. Conventions in academia vary to a great extent across disciplines, of which KTTA takes care of. They are also reflected in scholarly publication.
Scientometrics is an emerging field of science for science. Research articles do not only present scientific facts but also convey the way of communication between authors and readers. By analysing scholarly papers the reality of a field will lead to better understanding of the field.
Methodology
In the lab, we utilise computational methods to process scholarly papers. The technologies come from information retrieval (IR), natural language processing (NLP) and digital libraries (DL).
